Committee director
Each committee is led by a professional from the sector or a specialist academic. They choose the topics, prepare the background guides, and follow the proceedings through the week, alongside the committee chairs.

The quality of Committee Directors is central to the academic excellence and credibility of Model ICAO.
For the 2027 edition, committees will be led by highly qualified experts from academic, institutional, and professional backgrounds, bringing real-world expertise into the simulation process. Guiding high-level debate and negotiation
Committee Directors play a key role throughout the simulation. They are responsible for:
