The 2026 edition of the ICAO Simulation / ModelICAO builds on the success of previous editions while introducing new initiatives designed to further enrich the academic, professional, and human experience of participants.

Held at ICAO Headquarters in Montreal, the 2026 edition will place a strong emphasis on institutional engagement, professional development, and high-level networking opportunities.

Highlights of the 2026 Edition

The 2026 edition will feature several major events, exclusively reserved for ModelICAO participants:

  • A diplomatic luncheon bringing together representatives of ICAO Council Member States and student participants, renewed after its successful introduction in 2025, with the support of the European Union

  • An exclusive civil aviation career fair, offering direct interaction with key institutions and organizations in the aviation sector

  • Negotiation and simulation sessions closely reflecting real-world multilateral decision-making processes

New in 2026: A dedicated professional networking workshop
​

For the first time, the 2026 edition will introduce a structured professional networking workshop, lasting 30 minutes.

The workshop aims to provide participants with practical tools to:

  • build and expand their professional network,

  • understand institutional networking practices,

  • effectively present their academic and professional profile in international contexts.

The workshop will be led by Alexandre Perron, Vice President, Partnerships and Strategic Development

at CORIM – the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations.

The 2026 edition will also stand out through the presence of highly qualified Committee Directors,

drawn from academic, institutional, and professional backgrounds.
