Biography

Nathalie Herbelles is Vice-President Industry Affairs and Sustainability at Airports Council International (ACI World), based in Montreal, Canada. In her role, she is responsible for ACI’s strategic engagement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and oversees the development and delivery of ACI World’s sustainability agenda covering environmental protection, economic policy and workforce development at airports. Nathalie has over 20 years of experience in international aviation. Prior to joining ACI in 2018 in a security and facilitation role, Nathalie defended the airline industry’s interests out of Brussels, Singapore and Montreal, working for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Association of European Airlines (AEA). Her experience also includes Air France, the European Commission and Spanish Airport Authority AENA. A French national, Nathalie holds a Master’s Degree in Aviation Law and Management from Aix-Marseille University

Jennifer Desharnais is the Senior Director of Environmental Protection and Sustainability at Airports Council International (ACI) World. With 20 years of experience in the travel and aviation sectors, she leads ACI’s global environmental strategy, advancing airport sustainability through initiatives on climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy transition, circular economy, aircraft noise and community engagement, biodiversity, and ESG integration. Jennifer serves as Secretary of ACI’s World Environment Standing Committee (WEnSC), bringing together airport members from all regions to address key sustainability challenges. She is also ACI’s appointed Observer to the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP), where she coleads two task groups on airport operations and environmental management. Beyond ICAO, Jennifer collaborates with the World Economic Forum as part of the leadership team for the Airports of Tomorrow initiative and other international organizations. She holds an MSc in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University and additional qualifications in sustainable tourism management and ESG governance.

Sophia Olmos is Manager Environmental Protection at Airports Council International (ACI World) based in Montreal, Canada. In her role, Sophia is supporting the work of ACI World Environment Standing Committee (WEnSC), where airport members from all regions come together to work on sustainability matters - from decarbonization, circular economy, to wildlife trafficking prevention, to name a few. Sophia is supporting the action of airports in the field of energy strategies, Sustainable Aviation Fuels deployment, as well as climate adaptation and resilience. She is also coordinating ACI’s contributions to the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) and delivers ACI Global training on Aviation Sustainability.
Previously, she held positions at the French Civil Aviation Authority and the French Parliament, and worked for four years at the International Civil Aviation Organization, serving as Environment and Climate Expert at the Permanent Representation of France to ICAO, then as Associate Environment Officer in the ICAO Secretariat.
She holds Master’s degrees in Environmental Law from Université Paris-Saclay and Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, and a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne.
