2026 Edition – Professional Opportunities

Connecting academic experience with professional pathways

Beyond academic simulation, Model ICAO offers participants exclusive professional opportunities designed to bridge the gap between university studies and careers in international civil aviation and global governance.

These initiatives are an integral part of the 2026 edition and are reserved exclusively for Model ICAO participants.

Internships & Training

Model ICAO also provides participants with privileged access to concrete internship and training opportunities, directly connected to its institutional and industry partners.

  • Airbus Internships – Explore internship opportunities offered by Airbus, a long-standing strategic partner of Model ICAO.

  • European Commission Traineeship – Discover the European Commission's traineeship programme, a gateway to international governance institutions.

  • ACI Training – Access a training programme offered by Airports Council International (ACI), recognized across the global aviation industry (for two participants)

These resources are made available exclusively through Model ICAO's partnership with these organizations.

Exclusive Civil Aviation Career Fair

Model ICAO participants benefit from access to an exclusive Civil Aviation Career Fair, bringing together leading institutions and organizations active in the field of international aviation.

This event allows participants to:

  • interact directly with representatives from international organizations, public institutions, and private-sector actors,

  • explore career paths in civil aviation, international organizations, and related policy fields,

  • discuss internships, entry-level positions, and long-term career opportunities.

Previous editions have included organizations such as Airbus, ICAO, and public institutions involved in aviation and international affairs.

Professional Networking Workshop (New in 2026)

The 2026 edition introduces a dedicated professional networking workshop, designed to provide participants with practical and immediately applicable networking skills.

This 30-minute workshop aims to help participants:

  • understand the fundamentals of professional networking in institutional and international contexts,

  • develop effective strategies for building and maintaining professional relationships,

  • confidently present their academic and professional profile.

The workshop will be led by Alexandre Perron, Vice President, Partnerships and Strategic Development at CORIM – the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations.

Meaningful engagement with institutions and professionals

Through these professional opportunities, Model ICAO enables participants to:

  • gain direct exposure to institutional and professional environments,

  • better understand the expectations and realities of international careers,

  • build connections that extend beyond the simulation itself.

These initiatives reinforce Model ICAO’s mission to prepare participants for future academic and professional engagement at the international level.
