Exceptional institutional events

As part of the 2026 edition of the ICAO Simulation / Model ICAO, several major institutional events will be organized to provide participants with privileged access to key actors in international civil aviation governance. These events are exclusively reserved for Model ICAO participants.

Diplomatic Luncheon with State Representatives

​

First introduced in 2025, the Diplomatic Luncheon offers participants the opportunity to engage directly with representatives of ICAO Council Member States in an informal and privileged setting.

​

Following its success, the luncheon will be renewed in 2026, with the support of the European Union. This event aims to:

​

• foster direct dialogue between students and state representatives,

• provide insight into institutional dynamics and state priorities within ICAO,

• offer a concrete experience of multilateral diplomacy.

​Institutional Networking Receptions with ICAO Leadership

​

The 2026 edition will also feature institutional networking receptions bringing together participants, representatives of the ICAO Secretariat, and senior ICAO leadership, including the Secretary General and the President of the ICAO Council.

These exclusive gatherings are designed to:

• encourage informal exchanges in a high-level institutional setting,

• allow participants to interact with ICAO leadership,

• strengthen the relational and professional dimension of the Model ICAO experience.
